New Artworks in the Park by Fiona Kelly
KinShip presents three artworks by artist Fiona Kelly - Subterranean Structures of a Shrinking Hill - August 21st-26th 2023
Artist Fiona Kelly is the current KinShip artist on placement at Tramore Valley Park, she has been working with the engineers on site, paying particular attention to the landfill remediation maps in the archive. Kelly has focussed on ‘the subterranean’ as a starting point for investigating the manmade and ecological sub-structures in place. Through archival and onsite research she has produced a number of freestanding structures which hold a visual history of the remediated land-fill site. The works are temporarily installed on the central mound (City View Summit) of the park. The park is open from 8:30 a.m–10 p.m
