What the demo entails? Engagement with the process of making a rammed earth wall: Discussions on subsoil and its content, Demonstrations on the mix, Creating shuttering and finally the compacting of the material itself to make the rammed earth wall.
Who's giving the demo? Fuinneamh Workshop Architects & Civil and Structural Engineering Advisors Ltd – the winners of the Kinship Eco Lab Competition – to design and build an experimental structure in Tramore Valley Park.
What will people learn? An insight into the process of making a rammed earth wall.
The duration of the demo? 1 hour
Location? MEETING POINT AT THE WEIGH BRIDGE AT 11.45 p.m.
Will people be able to participate in any way? Absolutely! People will get an opportunity to mix the material and ram a section of wall.
